Haldwani: Ashok Gulati, the newly appointed Uttarakhand President of the Patrakar Press Mahasangh, has announced the organization’s new executive committee for the year 2026–27. In the first phase, appointments have been made at the state level as well as in Dehradun, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital, Almora districts, and several tehsils.
The decision was taken during a बैठक that continued till late night. President Ashok Gulati stated that the complete executive committee will be formed soon, and additional important appointments will be made in the second phase. He emphasized that experienced, honest, and senior members will be given priority in the organization.
Congratulating the newly appointed office bearers, he expressed hope that the new team will work strongly to safeguard the interests of journalists. He also stated that a meeting with the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand will soon be scheduled to submit a memorandum regarding the complex issues faced by journalists. He made it clear that harassment of journalists will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

The organization has clarified that more appointments will be made in the coming time to further strengthen the structure.
